Stone City (1990) Mitchell Smith "A work of pure genius." | The Dark Backward (1995) Gregory Hall "Riveting, compelling, masterful." | Shadows (1997) (James Whistler, book 2) Jonathan Nasaw "Throat-gripping. Breathes new life into the classic tales of the undead."
Comes the Dark (1999) Michael Prescott "Michael Prescott delivers a harrowing thriller of the first order. His characters are flesh-and-blood real, the atmosphere's intense, and the plot races along unceasingly." | Void Moon (1999) Michael Connelly "Void Moon is a high-stakes win! Author Connelly has dealt us lucky readers a rare hand - a lightning-paced thriller with a soul, a novel that takes us straight into the glitz and underbelly of Las Vegas and yet is populated with some of the most complex and captivating characters in suspense fiction." | Scavenger (2000) Tom Savage "Brilliant."
Eager to Please (2000) Julie Parsons "One of those rare authors who can successfully combine psychological style, literary style, and heart-stopping suspense." | Uncommon Justice (2001) (Mairead O'Clare legal thriller, book 1) Terry Devane "Brilliant... Page-turning suspense." | The Bomber (2001) (Annika Bengtzon, book 2) Liza Marklund "An astonishing talent."
Fear Itself (2002) Barret Schumacher "A compelling page-turner that blends traditional suspense with a harrowing flavor of the unknown." | Cold Justice (2002) (Kali O'Brien, book 5) Jonnie Jacobs "A thrill ride..." | Unfit to Practice (2002) (Nina Reilly, book 8) Perri O'Shaughnessy "Nina Reilly is definitely a lawyer you'd want to have on your side."
Eighteen (2002) Jan Burke "Astonishing... wry... these stories are sure to delight." | Scott Free (2003) John Gilstrap "If ever there was a one-sitting read, SCOTT FREE is it. Author Gilstrap has done it again: Not only has he dished up a gut-grabbing, pure-adrenaline rush of a thriller, but he's snagged our hearts too with a gripping story of a father-son relationship that's every bit as compelling as the breathtaking scenes and the wry, perceptive observations about small-town life." | The Last Witness (2003) (Lou Mason, book 2) Joel Goldman "Fast, furious and thoroughly enjoyable, The Last Witness is classic, and classy-filled with great characters and sharp, stylish writing."
The Angel of Montague Street (2003) Norman Green "Like Richard Price, Norm Green brings an uncanny bare-knuckle vivacity to his portrayal of life on the streets." | Mission Canyon (2003) (Evan Delaney, book 2) Meg Gardiner "It seems that the most enjoyable thrillers bring together the past and the present in unexpected yet suspenseful ways. So it is with Mission Canyon, Meg Gardiner's latest book featuring Evan Delaney, a witty, resourceful young woman fast with the bon mots and with a never-say-die attitude about... well, about everything! Echoes of a horrible auto accident in the past, involving Delaney's fiance, keep coinciding with a harrowing (and all-too-timely) story of corporate greed and evil-doing in quirky Southern California. It's up to Delaney to deal with this risky business and sort out the good from the bad, which she does with characteristic pluck and wit. The personal issues Gardiner raises about the physical and emotional consequences of severe injury are among the best parts of the story." | Cry Last Heard (2003) (Tally Nowata, book 2) Hannah Nyala "Hannah Nyala soars above the genre and gives us poetry."
The London Blitz Murders (2004) (Disaster, book 5) Max Allan Collins "Collins masterfully blends fact and fiction... Hogan's Prince of Thieves is smart, speedy, and stylish - a literary pulp fiction." | Blood Witness (2005) Mary Germano "Thoroughly enjoyable. A compelling thriller!"
Immoral (2005) (Jonathan Stride, book 1) Brian Freeman "Breathtakingly real and utterly compelling... some of the most literate and stylish writing you'll find anywhere today." | The Cleaner (2006) (Jonathan Quinn Thriller, book 1) Brett Battles "This book is a pure delight. Protagonist Jonathan Quinn is a unique and welcome addition to the world of crime fiction. Author Battles' THE CLEANER is a brilliant and heart-pounding thriller; I'm on the edge of my seat, awaiting future installment of Quinn's adventures." | A Walk in the Dark (2006) (Guido Guerrieri, book 2) Gianrico Carofiglio "Raises the standard for crime fiction. Carofiglio's deft touch has given us a story that is both literary and gritty-and one that speeds along like the best legal thrillers. His insights into human nature-good and bad-are breathtaking."
A Hard Day's Death (2008) (Spike Berenger Rock 'n' Roll Hit, book 1) Raymond Benson "A sizzling story full of classic thriller twists, humor, and a dead-on look at the music business, A Hard Day's Death is number one with a bullet." | I Kill (2008) Giorgio Faletti "In my neck of the woods people like Faletti are called larger than life, living legends." | The Walk-In (2008) Gary Berntsen and Ralph Pezzullo "What thrillers aspire to be...
