About Linda Holeman
Linda began her writing career in the early 1990's. She writes short stories, historic, and contemporary novels for both adults and young adults. She prefers not to be pigeon-holed into one genre, and thinks of herself as simply "a writer" . She folds her love of travel into richly researched and strongly recognizable settings.

In addition to her writing, Linda is active in Canada's writing community. She has been a member of Manitoba Artists in the Schools Program, has toured with the Canadian Children's Book Centre, served as a mentor for the Manitoba Writers' Guild, taught creative writing through the University of Winnipeg's Continuing Education programme, and created and facilitated numerous writing workshops on many aspects of the writing process to both students and adults. She held a nine-month term as Writer-in-Residence at the Winnipeg Public Library, as well as serving on the editorial advisory board for Turnstone Press and on the board of the Manitoba Writers' Guild. Linda regularly speaks at conferences both nationally and internationally.

Linda obtained a BA in Psychology/Sociology from the University of Winnipeg, and a BEd in Early Childhood Education and MEd in Educational Psychology from the University of Manitoba. She taught for ten years before beginning her writing career.

She lives in Toronto, Ontario.
