Homeless, hungry, and cold, Kasi swallows her pride and goes home to Robbin’s Roost. When she passes out, her brother calls Ben, a doctor who takes care of her and her sick daughter. Ben and Kasi are attracted to each other, but she knows Lonnie will look for her when he gets out of prison. She’s afraid of him, especially when he drinks. When Lonnie is released, his sister tells him where to find Kasi. Hoping Lonnie will leave Kasi alone, Ben offers to use his laser to remove the prison tattoo on his face.
