Martha hasn’t seen her son Jacob since he was a baby, when she was sent to prison. She’s an old woman when she’s released, and Jacob is locked in a mental institution for killing four members of his family, including five-year-old Suki, who had a powerful psychic gift. Jacob has mental issues from childhood trauma, and she feels bad about not being there to protect him.
Someone shoots Martha, and her grandson brings her home to recuperate. When her shoulder heals, her grandchildren have a party for her. She’s overcome with love for them and hopes whoever shot her doesn’t harm any of them.
