Regina Doman is a writer and novelist residing in Front Royal, VA.Doman is the author of a series of young adult novels, beginning with The Shadow of the Bear (originally known as Snow White and Rose Red: A Modern Fairy Tale), and continuing with the sequel, Black as Night. A third book, Waking Rose, continued the series, published in 2007. A fourth book called the "The Midnight Dancers," was released June 1, 2008. The series is referred to by the author as Fairy Tale Novels. She is a graduate of the Franciscan University of Steubenville.From 1995-1996, she served as an assistant editor for the offbeat Catholic countercultural journal Caelum Et Terra. In 2000, she launched a website to archive the articles of the late journal and to provide a catalyst for the further development of the journal's ideas on the web.She is also the author of the children's picture book, Angel in the Waters. A Spanish edition was published in 2006.Doman has written and spoken on the subject of creating what she terms "Catholic genre fiction," a Catholic version of Christian fiction, most recently in her article "The Catholic Fiction Problem is a Marketing Problem" which can be found under the "Articles" section on her website. In an attempt to open up the market, she is series editor for the John Paul 2 High novels, a book series about the adventures of Catholic teens at a new private high school. The first and second novels in the series were released in 2008 and 2009.
