Beth K Vogt

Beth K. Vogt is a non-fiction author and editor who said she'd never write fiction. She's the wife of an Air Force family physician (now in solo practice) who said she'd never marry a doctor--or anyone in the military. She's a mom of four who said she'd never have kids. Now Beth believes God's best often waits behind the doors marked "Never." A 2014 Carol Award finalist, Beth is a contemporary romance novelist with Howard Books. Her 2014 novel, Somebody Like You, is one of Publisher's Weekly's Best Books of 2014. Her e-novella, A November Bride, is part of Zondervan's A Year of Wedding Series.

Beth enjoys writing contemporary romance because she believes there's more to happily-ever-after than the fairy tales tell us. She lives in Colorado with her husband Rob, who has adjusted to discussing the lives of imaginary people, and their youngest daughter, Christa, who's taking them through the teen years again. An established magazine writer and former editor of Connections, the leadership magazine for MOPS International, Beth is also part of the leadership team for My Book Therapy, the writing community founded by best-selling author Susan May Warren.

The Secret Place (2021)
Camille Eide
"In The Secret Place, the past collides with the present, revealing a messy tangle of family secrets. Author Camille Eide skillfully shows how we make choices with the best of intentions, never comprehending how our decisions affect both us and others for years to come. Eide's characters may be imaginary, but her story is powerful because it is true to life."

Dust (2021)
Eva Marie Everson
"Author Eva Marie Everson's characters in Dust are flawed, their choices, both good and bad, intersecting and influencing each other's lives. Everson's layered Southern family drama reveals the complexities of relationships and the unexpected and sometimes painful consequences of our choices. While we might regret how what we say and do affects others, with every turn of the page Everson reminds readers of a vital truth: life doesn't have to be perfect to be good."

Afraid of the Light (2020)
Cynthia Ruchti
"Award-winning author Cynthia Ruchti’s storytelling captured my heart from the first pages of Afraid of the Light. A gifted wordsmith, she’s crafted yet another story that keeps readers turning pages as they fall in love with her true-to-life characters. Exploring complicated relationships with realism and sensitivity is what Ruchti does best."
