The Doctor's attempts to refamiliarize himself with the workings of the TARDIS result in the crew being stranded on Endpoint, the last planet in a crumbling galaxy with a barely habitable surface. As the Doctor investigates, he discovers a community below ground who are desperate enough to kill.
