A short story by veteran BattleTech writer Loren L. Coleman, By The Numbers takes place on the streets and backways of Solaris VII. A three-man team has been hired to take the Skye Tigers Stable down a notch, but they are walking in to more than they bargained for.
This story introduces a new serial character in the BattleTech milieu: a man who became known only as "the unnamed soldier on Solaris VII." A veteran infantryman, security agent, and know a merc for hire, this character appears in several stories.
