The Solarians

Three hundred years before, the Solarians had isolated themselves from the rest of the galaxy - with the promise that they would appear one day to save the human race. Now, with the very existence of Man at stake in a war with the computer-like Duglaars, they reappeared, having evolved a completely new kind of civilisation. They possessed strange talents, such as telepathy and total recall. And they had an ingenious strategy for defeating the Duglaars.
