When two students are killed at a small college in Southern California, fellow student Jake Kelly is arrested. As he contemplates the mess that his life has become, he is mysteriously released. Driven by the guilt that he may have been indirectly responsible for the deaths of his friends, Jake becomes consumed with finding the truth. His friendships become strained, his morals are put to the test and he becomes a target for violence that may end his life.
