Lord Richard Marbury, an MP fighting strong opposition for the Criminal Amendment Bill, sends his daughter to spend the summer with his old professor in Brighton, but en route the girl is kidnapped by her father's political enemies. Fortunately, Arthur Conan Doyle is also in town, and he helps to search for the girl.
