Land to the North

A young man finds a trunk hidden in the family's attic and learns of an uncle he didn't know he had. The uncle, a veteran of World War I, was lost exploring an unknown realm far to the north that hides a strange civilization. He, along with a fellow veteran search these strange lands hoping to find his friend's father who had disappeared years earlier. What they encounter is not what they expected. This is science fiction in the tradition of Edgar Rice Burroughs and his Savage Pellucidar and The Land that Time Forgot.
