Heather Graham was born on March 15 and grew up in Dade County, Florida, U.S.A.. After her High School graduation she married Hershey Dennis Possezzere. They lived in Tampa and she attended the university majoring in Theater Art at the University of South Florida and touring Europe and parts of Asia and Africa as part of her studies. After college, she waitressed, tended bar, modeled, acted in dinner theaters and sang backing vocals for several years. She stayed home after the birth of the third of their five children, determined to devote her efforts to another of her dreams: writing.

Heather began to write, working on short horror stories and romances. In 1982, she sold to Dell her first novella, When Next We Love as Heather Graham (her maiden name). She continued published novels as Heather Graham for Dell (at Candlelight Ecstasy), and in 1985 she published her first novella for Silhouette as Heather Graham Pozzessere (her complete name) and her first novel as Shannon Drake. During years she has continued publishing as diferent names for diferent publishing houses. She has written over one hundred novellas and novels including category, romantic suspense, historical romance, vampire fiction, time travel, occult, and Christmas holiday fare.

Heather was a founding member of the Florida Romance Writers chapter of R.W.A. and, since 1999, has hosted the Romantic Times Vampire Ball, with all revenues going directly to children's charity.

Now, the New York Times and USA Today best-selling author is pleased to have been published in approximately twenty languages, and to have been honored with awards frorn Waldenbooks. B. Dalton, Georgia Romance Writers, Affaire de Coeur, Romantic Times, and more. She has had books selected for the Doubleday Book Club and the Literary Guild, and has been quoted, interviewed, or featured in such publications as The Nation, Redbook, People, and USA Today and appeared on many newscasts including local television and Entertainment Tonight.

Heather believes that her career has been an incredible gift, and she is grateful every day to be doing something that she loves so very much for a living, but her greatest love in life remains her family. She also loves travel and anything have to do with the water, and is a certitified scuba diver.
