She’s a single mom starting over. He’s a famous soccer player with a secret...

Hannah's determined to start afresh. As mum to a soccer-obsessed teenager with a workaholic husband her needs have come last for far too long. Everything changes when she's offered the opportunity to take over the Post Office in Little Maudley, a charming Cotswold village where everyone knows everyone - and there's no room for secrets. Hannah grabs it with both hands and throws herself into a new life. And then she meets the handsome coach of Ben's soccer team...

Jake is trying to rebuild his life. A world-class soccer player, when his leg was shattered in an accident his career came to a sudden halt. Now he's hiding away in a beautiful Victorian mansion, focusing his energies on rebuilding the house back to its former glory. As a city boy in a tiny village, he's not sure how he finds himself coaching the local soccer team, but the mother of his new star player certainly makes the job more interesting.

Small town life comes with its own set of challenges... Hannah's idea of introducing a bookstore to the Post Office causes a stir with the close-knit community. At least her son Ben seems to have found his place, and spending time with Jake makes Hannah wonder. Could a rich, handsome star really be interested in someone like her?

Praise for Rachael Lucas

'Absolutely delightful!' - Marian Keyes
‘Wonderful escapism with a gloriously romantic setting - Katie Fforde

Author's note: Both The Village Green Bookshop and The Telephone Box Library are set in the tiny village of Little Maudley in the English countryside - they are sweet small town standalone novels, but as a reader I love stories where you find familiar faces popping up... You'll find that happens in all my novels, from the Applemore series set in the Scottish Highlands right down to the cozy world of cream cake and china teapots in Little Maudley. I hope you enjoy them!
