Private investigator Alan Rosslyn is in Greece doing minor surveillance work. But when his employer (and lover) Aphrodite is murdered, Rosslyn becomes the main suspect. He is smuggled back to London where he discovers she was involved in a conspiracy to steal the Elgin Marbles.
