Follow The Money

(2019)
(The second book in the Will Taggert, Esq. series)
A novel by

Will Taggert was at the funeral of his best friend Garret Talmadge, when masked gunmen burst into the undercroft of St. Mark's Church, abducted Garret's father, former U.S. Senator Nelson Talmadge, and killed his two bodyguards. Will would have been killed, too, except DEA agent Jessica Jones knocked him out of the way - and unconscious.
Will almost died when he got tangled up with Jones, earlier, in a botched DEA operation at Loco Leo's amusement park near the Everglades. His first thought waking up in Jones' black DEA Suburban was: not again.
But Jones desperately needs Will's help to find 'Senator' Talmadge who might or might not be the front man for a $150-millon drug cartel bid to buy a Major League Soccer franchise.
The follow-the-money trail takes Will and Jones from the Addison Mizner mansions of Palm Springs, to Grand Cayman, to what was once the most dangerous city in the world - Medellin, Columbia.
Along the way, Will tangles with white-collar criminals and cartel bosses.
Who survives? Who gets the MLS franchise?
It's an ending so shocking, you, like Will, will say: Oooh, didn't see that coming.
