Jon King, a newsman, is abducted by a fundamentalist terrorist group while working in Algeria. An unlikely ally helps him escape, saying he owes a debt to Jon's natural father, who Jon is unaware of. He sets out to trace his father, but is confronted by dead ends, a wall of lies and extreme danger.
