Jacqueline studied English Literature at Lincoln College, Oxford and then became a museum curator. She worked with a variety of collections including the Wordsworth Trust collection and archive at Dove Cottage in the Lake District, and the Ruskin collection in Sheffield. In 2006, Jacqueline completed a PhD at the University of Sheffield exploring some of the links between literature, objects, collecting and museums in the nineteenth century. She has since continued her research on the period, and is currently working on a book about planned workers villages.Jacqueline now teaches creative writing at the University of Aberystwyth, and divides her time between the UK and South-West France. She curates some exhibitions and is a Director of the Guild of St George which continues Ruskins legacy of political, social, arts and environmental campaigning and projects. She plays tennis, travels when she can, and likes to keep pigs.
