A Bullet for the Preacher

When a preacher is shot dead in the quiet town of Bircher, his brother, Roland Payne, arrives to avenge his death. He accepts the post of deputy sheriff in the hope of finding the killer and, along the way, unearths a feud between an old-established family, the Lamptons, and some newcomers, the Olsens. Roland's life is threatened as he is caught between the two families. Eventually he discovers the identity of his brother's murderer, but in the final shoot-out the death toll is high and Roland's future is in the balance.
