Carnecrane, the mansion on the Cornish cliffs, is once again the scene of the turbulent fortunes of the Cremyllas family in the mid-Victorian era. To Carnecrance comes Olwen, daughter of the vivacious Carmella Cremyllas, who had married a Welsh artist and left her native Cornwall for the stage.
