Reluctant to accept his inevitable defeat, Satan claims the battle is still raging - Job was not tested enough, his forbearance can no longer be used as a yardstick. Very well, said the Lord, seek out another man, see if he will honour me until the end. And so Satan makes his choice; whilst on earth, a man wonders why his life is dissolving around him.
