Polly and her brother never liked each other and when, in a fit of spite, he flicks a fishbone at her and blinds her in one eye, it seems to Polly that he has blighted her future. But life carries on, she manages to get a job at Bloom's Fashions, and becomes friends with Sarah and handsome David.
