About Conrad Williams
Conrad Williams was born in Warrington in 1969 and has been in print since 1988. He has sold around 80 short stories to a diverse range of publications and anthologies including Panurge, Sunk Island Review, This Is, Back Brain Recluse, The Third Alternative, The Ex-Files, The Agony and the Ecstasy, A Book of Two Halves, Neon Lit, Sugar Sleep, The Science of Sadness, Scaremongers, Cold Cuts 2, Darklands 2, The Mammoth Book of Dracula, Dark Terrors 2, 3 and 4; Best New Horror 9; The Year¹s Best Horror XXII, Narrow Houses 3: Blue Motel, The Museum of Horrors, Cemetery Dance and Phantoms of Venice.

In 1993 he won the Littlewood Arc Prize and the British Fantasy Award for Best Newcomer (his story 'Ancient Flavours' was also nominated for Best Short Story in that year) and in 1998, his debut novel 'Head Injuries' (The Do-Not Press) was published to widespread acclaim. The novel was optioned by Revolution Films in the same year. In 2001, a limited edition novella from PS Publishing appeared. Called 'Nearly People', it had an introduction by Michael Marshall Smith and a cover by Polish artist Wieslaw Walkuski.

Conrad is currently writing a new novel, 'Blonde on a Stick', and working on a sequence of dark, psychological thrillers for young adults. Conrad currently lives in London with the writer Rhonda Carrier.
