The Old Boy Network in a small waterfront community spawns more than a few drinks and cards at the club. A doctor, lawyer, publisher, ship's broker and undertaker are suspects in this old-fashioned British mystery. Joe Dunlop's radio experience is evident in his careful pronunciation, timing and pace, which allow the listener to follow the complex plot while thoroughly enjoying this production. His depiction of an elderly magistrate uses harrumphs, chortles, giggles, grunts and other noises print cannot capture.
