A novel by

Young Sam Malone had two ambitions: to keep his job as deputy marshal of Tombstone Wells, and to marry Anne-Marie Clinton. Anne-Marie, however, made excuses to put him off, and the murder of a local man made his job extremely difficult. His efforts to keep the town barber from having his neck stretched challenged him still further. But Anne-Marie had proof that Clint, the barber, was her father, and to win her Sam had to do a lot of growing up.
