Captain Picard and the "USS Enterprise" crew test a new technology that aims to allow a Starship's saucer-section to survive a crash-landing and return to space. But Maquis agents steal the "Enterprise" hull-section during the test and Picard must fight to rescue the "Enterprise" from rebel agents.
