Jo Verity was a former graphic designer for the School of Dentistry, University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and has won acclaim from TV interviewers Richard and Judy on whose programme she beat 17,000 entries to win their Short Story Prize Competition in 2003. She has had numerous short stories published in women's magazines and broadcast on BBC Radio 4. In 2004 she won the Western Mail Short Story Competition. She lives in Cardiff with her husband.
