Rescue for Mittens

(1965)
A Picture Book by

A Gazelle Book - very first reading for the very young. A reading book as remembered by today's 21st century grandparents, with nice line drawings washed with a single colour; the story is good enough to hold the attention of young readers, or children who still like to be read to. Margery didn't like Tommy Watson. Everyone else in the village made a fuss of her little cat, Mittens. And she didn't like the way he called her Pudding-face. Yet in the end Tommy Watson was the person who came to Mittens' rescue.
