The Hypnotism Handbook

(1956)
A non fiction book by

Charles Edward Cooke and A E van Vogt

This book fills an important vacancy in the existing literature on hypnosis, in that it tells not only what to say but how to say it, and not only what to do, but how to do it. It was written as an aid to the professional worker in the psychosomatic and medical fields. It is an excellent textbook for classwork, because it sets forth in step-by-step fashion, not only complete hypnotic induction and suggestive techniques in correct form, but explains how many such techniques--which may be useful in conjuction with hypnosis--may be correctly prepared. In addition, there are chapters on dentistry, anasthesia, and doctors. Included are references, a bibliography, and an appendix on training for natural childbirth.
