Valerie Thomas is an Australian writer and teacher. She has taught in primary and secondary schools in Australia and England, and worked for several years as a Curriculum Consultant specialising in the teaching of spelling. She has also worked in France and Norway. Valerie has now retired from full-time teaching and is working part-time with children who need extra help with literacy.
