Guests ruin weddings all the time, although I will admit it is probably less usual for them to do it by killing the groom. When Eve Marshal catches her reflection in a tinfoil diplay at her local supermarket, she sees someone old and fat, someone who looks just like a mother - which is exactly what she is.
