Robert Sherman travels to Italy to gather information and find a leading man for a biopic of Salvatore, a famous 1930's film idol. The Italians prove unhelpful however and when he finally reaches Malcastello, a small village which knows Salvatore's secrets, its locals are unwilling to share them.
