When Dora's mother runs away, her soldier father has no choice but to have his daughter adopted. Raised in Wales, Dora goes to work at a fashionable summer seaside residence on the Isle of Wight. Here she meets Tom, a fisherman, and a fairy tale ending is in sight. First, though, Dora must find her family.
