In the overpopulated Earth of The Destiny Makers, two scout-ships are attempting to find new homes for mankind. Over 700 years later, they return to Earth in defeat only to find themselves confronted with a primitive culture, built for efficiency and lacking any kind of centralized government. Facing a hostile environment, they prove that you can't go home again.
