Shadow of the Gallows

The townsfolk of Fortune were getting damn tired of the gang of killers that was terrorizing the South Park country of Colorado, and when Scott Wheeler got backshot in a dark alley one night, they wanted blood. Someone had to hang, and the evidence pointed to Civil War Veteran Tom Shannon who was homesteading just outside town. But Tom had other plans. he hadn't survived a war just to get strung up for a crime he didn't commit. Some bloodthirsty gunslick in the killer gang had bushwhacked poor old Scott, and to probe it and clear his name, Tom Shannon set a trap, a trap that was like bloody Shiloh all over again, right inside town in the Shadow of the Gallows.
