Dawn wrote her first book in secret, only admitting to her husband what she was doing when he discovered her stash of research books on Texas divorce laws. Once she'd been 'outed', Dawn joined Romance Writers of America, found an awesome critique group and began entering contests and submitting her work. That first novel is still stored in the computer, but Dawn's second book, A Will To Love, a 2005 Golden Heart Finalist, fulfilled her unknown childhood dream.
