In Book 1, Nas left her spoiled, rich girl life to find peace and forgiveness at River's Edge, a rehab for wayward immortals. Her life revolves around hard labor, lessons, and Reyn, a sexy immortal whose dark past prevents her from loving him. But just as Nas is getting used to River's Edge, her family's ties to dark magick force her to leave.
Nas returns her old life and friends, even forgiving her cold-hearted best friend Incy. Then Nas discovers that Incy has been stealing power from humans and immortals, killing them in the process. Incy, desperate for Nas's power, comes after her, and for the second time in her life, Nas thinks she's going to die. Fortunately, Reyn, and her mentors from River's Edge show up in time to save her.
