About Alan Temperley
Alan Temperley was born and grew up in Sunderland. As a boy he kept mice, sang in a big church choir, played cricket and enjoyed stories. After a stint in the Merchant Navy he became an English teacher but is now an author whose books have been widely translated and televised.
