Madragi, huge social/economic entities wealthy beyond compare, inhabit the mysterious world of Imprima. When the famous jewel, known as "Fortune's Light", is stolen, Riker and crew are drawn across the galaxy, back to Imprima, where an old friend of Riker's stands accused of the theft.
