Susan Shaw hails from Pennsylvania, having lived all of her life in or around the Philadelphia area, where she earned a degree in music from Temple University. She's currently living in Wayne with her husband where they raised three children. Susan Shaw is the author of Black-eyed Suzie (Boyds Mills Press, 2002), The Boy From The Basement (Dutton Books for Children, 2004), and Safe (Dutton Books for Children), recently released in the fall of 2007. She also penned a comic play, The Granny Dancer, which was produced locally.
