Three children find a long-buried skeleton in a wood and one of them, Davy, becomes subject to hauntings and hallucinations. These visions from the Viking past, a past in which Davy seems to have a place, elucidate the terrible history of the place and the fearful destiny of the haunting guardians. This is a story of great danger with a stupendous climax.
