Spanning half a century, this saga follows Brodie Court. Turned out of his home in Ireland, Brodie journeys to Australia where opal mining becomes his obession. Back in Ireland, his family are forced to sell their home and go to join Brodie, but his obession with opals is to lead to tragedy.
