In telepathic contact with Lewis, Druuna is heading for the Tower, at the heart of the City, in order to destroy Delta. But, in dreamlike sequences, exhausting roaming stops her from reaching her destination. There are continual diversion, frequently erotic, macho and highly sadistic and violent aggressions- all with the motiveless gratuity of a dream. And when, at the final moment, Druuna is on the point of destroying Delta, Lewis suddenly changes his mind: for the love of Druuna and in order to put an end to her terrible suffering, he decides not to destroy the remaining humans, himself, Delta and its emancipation. Everything is brought into question again.
