Things become complicated, with the entry into play of characters from "another" universe. A spaceship, captained by a Negro called Will, identifies "the City", from which the captain is receiving hidden telepathic messages, in which a mysterious and beautiful woman appears. In order to solve the mystery, he lands on the "asteroid", where Druuna is just waking from a long, lethargic sleep, the sole survivor in what is now a totally unrecognisable and destroyed world, with the exception of a group of humans, who capture her and take her to a place with mythical connotations. Here, in a complex sequence of events ranging from the epic to the horrific, a kind of destiny is fulfilled. Druuna is raped by a monster who then turns into her former love, Shastar. While he is probably impregnating her, Druuna encounters Will and his men, and the group makes its way with difficulty to the mother ship.
