Will, the ships captain, contacts Druuna telepathically, then also evokes Schastar, but at the end he is killed by monsters and sent back to the ship to argue with the doctor. Meanwhile, Druuna is making love with a handsome young man against a bright, Mediterranean sea landscape, watched by a mysterious old man, the silent keeper of a secret. Other complicated events lead her to an unknown spaceship, where the secret turns out to be Aphrodisia, a primordial creature. She also finds Schastar there, who has used up all his energy and disappears forever. Druuna is now alone on the spaceship.
