About Nick Stone
Nick Stone was born in Cambridge, England to a Scottish father and Haitian mother. He spent his early childhood in Haiti before returning to England in 1970.
Nick's critically acclaimed, internationally bestselling debut novel Mr Clarinet - set in Miami and Haiti - has won three major awards (The CWA Steel Dagger (2006), the International Thriller Writers Award for Best First Novel (2007) and the Macavity Award for Best First Novel (2007), and has been nominated for three more.
Nick's equally lauded next novel, King of Swords - a prequel to Mr Clarinet, set at the height of Miami's cocaine carnage era (1980-82) - was published in the UK in 2007 and will be published in the US by HarperCollins on December 1st 2008.
Nick lives in London and Miami with his family.
