Martha Schroeder

Martha Schroeder fell in love with the romance genre when she discovered the novels of Georgette Heyer while studying for the New York bar exam. Although she had always harbored a secret desire to write stories like her heroines Jo March and Anne Shirley, her sober and steadfast side impelled her to work as an attorney at a huge Wall Street law factory and later at a gigantic multinational oil company.

When a series of seismic shifts upset the jigsaw puzzle of her life, she decided to stop being so sober and steadfast and have some fun. She gave up teaching law and started to write romance novels, and has never looked back. The author of eleven published novels and a novella, when she is not writing or enjoying the company of her children and grandchildren in and around Philadelphia, Martha spends her time in the slightly wicked pursuits celebrated by Dorothy Parker: "travel, trouble, music, art, a kiss, a frock, a rhyme" All of which provide plenty of story ideas and all of which she highly recommends!
