Marcy Stewart, the pseudonym of Mary Stewart Froemke was born in Winter Haven, Florida, but has lived most of her adult life in southeastern Tennessee where she resides with her husband, Ken. When she's not writing, she enjoys reading, playing the piano, and observing student teachers in the classroom, which is a part of her job description as Assistant Professor of Education at Bryan College.

She is a member of Romance Writers of America and serves as secretary of her local chapter of that group. She is also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and was elected faculty chair of her college during the 1998-1999 term.
