About Marcus Sedgwick
Marcus Sedgwick has been writing since 1994, and is a winner of The Brandfoard Boase award for his first title Floodland. He was also shortlisted for The Guardian Children's Book Award 2002 for The Dark Horse. Marcus illustrated Floodland, Witch Hill and Dark Horse with his own woodcuts, and in addition to writing spends his time doing woodcuts and stone carving. He also plays drums for Brighton indie band Garret and is the guitarist in an ABBA tribute group.
