Kim Shaw has two children, a husband and a crazy dog named Cocoa. They are a family who is always on the go and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. She has worked as a legal secretary for prominent New York City law firms and is currently a high school English teacher, a job which she loves. She is a volunteer with the National Council of Negro Women and the Girl Scouts of Washington Rock. In addition, she is part owner of her family's restaurant, Nana's, which specializes in Southern and Jamaican Cuisine.
